Laurie Adele Smith

Laurie was carried home by her father and grandparents after a courageous battle with cancer. Laurie was born in Prince Albert to Joe and Mae Smith. She was the 2nd oldest of 7 children. She attended St. Michaels School, Rivier Academy and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Laurie had a great sense of humour. She had a great love of singing and music. She loved spending time with friends, of which she had many. She enjoyed playing ball in her younger years. Laurie was always ready to lend a helping hand, an ear or a shoulder to anyone in need. She was very protective and supportive of her family and friends. Family was very important to her, which could easily be seen in her love and devotion to her granddaughter Celia. Celia was the light of her life and she was extremely proud of her.
