The family of the late Mr. Shane Duquette-Cameron would like to announce his passing on October 30, 2019, at the age of 41 years.  A Wake Service for Shane commenced on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Chief Mistawasis School Gym at 6:00 PM.  A Funeral Service took place on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 11:00 AM also at the Chief Mistawasis School Gym.  Interment was in Our Lady of The Poor Roman Catholic Cemetery.  

Shane is lovingly remembered by: His Wife: Jocelyn Gardipy; His Children: Jareth, Kaylie, Keanna, Kirstin, and Karalyn; Mother: Bertha Duquette;Sisters and Brothers: Denise (Jimmy) Bill and children: Keelan, Jacob, Kyla, Riley, Ryan, and Melissa; Malcolm (Della) Duquette and children: Lyndon, Tyler, Nicholas, Bryce, Danessa, Shanaya, Jeffrey,     Marcus, Kiera, Kendra and grandchildren Nolin and Lillian; Lorne Duquette and children: Shidane, Montana, Shane, Quannah, and Arabella; Cynthia Duquette and children:  Clifford Jr. and Clinton; FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron Jr. and his children:  Drew, Kiannah, Drake, Drayden, Keon, Kree, and grandchild, Conor; Valerie Hopkins and children:  Taylor, Jessie, and Nisha and her son, Jesaiah; Colin Cameron and children: Ryley, Dawson, and Sage; Roberta Cameron and her children: Elliot Jr, Denzel, Morgan, Austin, Ava, and grandchild, Ellie Nerine Atcheynum; Mother-in-law: Sandra Neapetung; Father-in-law: Augie Gardipy; Maternal grandparents: William and Veronica Duquette; Godparents: Marcel & Lynn Duquette; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends. Predeceased by: Father, Robert Cameron Sr.; Brother, Guy Duquette; Aunt and Uncles, Thelma Georgina Duquette, Oliver Cameron, and Harvey Cameron; Paternal grandparents, Agnes and Fred Cameron; Chapans, Dick and Mary Keenatch; Maternal Chapans, Lucy Pahpeywin and Joseph Duquette; Chapan, Frank Pahpeywin – Lifetime Chief Big River First Nation
